ifyouski.com launches

Months of work culminated in ifyouski.com going live in Feb 2010. Zimweb was responsible for re-developing this specialist ski travel site and there are big plans to add new functionality to the site in the coming months. 

During the peak of ski season they have in excess of 20 000 uniques a day hitting the site and rely heavily on their website for the bulk of skiing holiday enquiries.

 

They had a custom CMS based on old technology. It proved difficult to maintain and managing content was difficult. Developing on the platform was both time consuming and complex. Ifyouski needed an easier way to manage their thousands of pages of content and new efficient ways to manage their inventory & holiday information. At the same time SEO, usability factors & a re-design had to be considered. The major objectives were to update the technology and enable the development team to spend less time on patching problems and focus more on developing cutting edge functionality. SEO capabilities were crucial as well as an easy tools and interfaces for site editors to manage the site. These were some of the reasons the Zimweb team chose to implement Sitefinity as their Content Management System.
